Essivi is playing with a whistle while leaning on her mother. Children love to play with toys and will create their own because manufactured toys are rare. Kids will make toys of anything they can find, including wood, metal cans, recycled plastic, old tires, cloth (cloth strips will be rolled into a ball for playing soccer), and even corn cobs (made into dolls that girls will carry on their backs).
