This piece came from a photograph taken by a friend in the north of Burkina Faso in a small town called Gorom-Gorom. These two Fulani women had come into the village to go to the market. They were weaving baskets while visiting with friends. The Fulani people are nomads and the women are considered to be the most beautiful women in West Africa. Their men put all their savings in their herds of cattle and jewelry for their women.
