____________________________________________________________________ "Hope For Our World"
A Traveling Exhibit Duke Chapel Duke University, NC March 30 – April 13, 2008
Duke University will be the first venue for this traveling exhibit. Ten statement pieces promoting social changes will be shown. The environment, the future of our children, world peace, education, refugees, and fair trade, are topics in which viewers will be engaged. The works in this exhibit are painted in monochromatic themes, just as they appeared in my dreams, and are then enhanced with hundreds of different colored threads. A Day of Activism will take place on April 5th. Local organizations dealing with the subject matters in myartwork (environment, water, world peace and the future of our children, education, refugees, and fair trade) will be there to educate the publicand give them a means to help, whether it be hands on or financially. I hope that the artwork in this exhibit will move people and motivate them to get involved in making changes in our world.
